The building of the church used to be at first a simple house for living. It was donated by the Bodó family to the Catholic cult in 1979, and thus it was transformed to serve the mass performing. Thus, a new larger room was added functioning as nave, and a tower. The initial purpose of the building is visible by the strange position of the tower, totally integrated on one side of the facade, and on the other side having a transverse fault (decros). The Roman Catholic Church of Cidreag functions as branch of the parish from Porumbeşti.
