The church was built between 1872-1880 on the place of an old wooden church. The tower is comprised in the nave, having four windows at the upper level. The tin roof of the tower is fit with a lantern. The nave is simple, lacking in decorations. Major works of restorations were made in 1926 and later, in 1962-1964. Recently, the windows were changed, and a porch was built at the entrance in the church. A small-sized belfry-tower was built nearby the edifice.
