The medieval church was taken by Protestants at the end of Middle Ages. The Catholic Schwabs were colonized in the village in the 18th century and they took back the edifice with the help of the landlords, the Perényi family, in 1743. The Protestant community built a new church. The present church has a polygonal closing, and a wooden tower dating from the 18th century, which confers to the building a special character. The edifice has two bells, made in 1846, respectively in 1923. (TSz).
